Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology Alumni Association

This section provides information about the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology Alumni Association.

The Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology was founded as a result of the educational reform of 1949. The current alumni association was established in 1962, and celebrated its fiftieth anniversary in 2012.
With the goal of deepening friendships among its members, the TUAT Alumni Association seeks to develop itself and the university according to four pillars of action.

Periodical Publication
The association publishes the periodical “Noko Tsushin” (Agriculture and Technology Communication) twice a year to promote information exchanges between members.
Gather and Manage Member Information
The association gathers, stores and manages personal information about its members. The association provides alumni with the information needed to hold class reunions and other alumni gatherings.
Section, Branch, and Interest Group Activities
The alumni association includes three subgroups: alumni who graduated from the same department, alumni living in the same prefecture, and alumni who share common activities or interests.
The association provides aid for the activities of these groups, sends its managing director—a member of the university’s teaching staff—to the branch general assembly, reports on recent university events, and provides support for mini-lectures.
Supporting the University’s Students
The association provides financial support for student (associate member) conference presentations, participation in various competitions, and the like.
The association also supports various extracurricular activities and sends career advisors to the university Employment Consultation Office.
